INBF Constitution

INTERNATIONAL NATURAL

BODYBUILDING & FITNESS FEDERATION

PART I – OBJECTIVES OF THE INBF

The objectives of the International Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation are:

  1. The proliferation and growth of Natural (drug-free) Bodybuilding, Figure, Fitness and other contests as a competitive athletic endeavor.
  2. The improvement and promotion of values inherent with fair competition in the sport of bodybuilding; and to eliminate the unfair advantage gained by the use of anabolic steroids, growth hormones, and other performance-enhancing drugs.
  3. To promote a healthy lifestyle which is free of any illegal/illicit ergogenic drugs that may negatively affect an athlete’s health, life or future.
  4. To unify the sport of Natural Bodybuilding under one competitive umbrella, for the benefit of all male and women athletes in the U.S. and worldwide. The INBF does not seek to control, manipulate or otherwise infringe upon the duties and order of any amateur bodybuilding sports              federation. Instead, the association seeks only to give members of these amateur groups an opportunity to compete on a higher level, while maintaining any ties to these associations if they so wish.
  5. To provide ample opportunity for amateur competition for bodybuilders from any and all organizations, provided that they meet the strict drug-free requirements of the INBF.
  6. To provide an opportunity for top natural amateur athletes to progress to the professional drug-free level in the fully drug-tested World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF). The INBF will sanction select competitions that will serve as WNBF pro-qualifier events, allowing athletes to aspire to reaching the professional level without having to resort to any illegal or illicit drug usage to do so.

PART II – ORGANIZATION OF THE INBF

STRUCTURE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE INBF
The International Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation (INBF) was founded in 1999 as a means to further the reach of drug-free athletics in America today. It is a nonprofit organization with a dual mission: First, it will support, through education and encouragement, the art and science of natural strength training and bodybuilding. Secondly, it will sanction and stage drug-tested bodybuilding and fitness events to encourage the abstinence from performance-enhancing drugs.

The INBF is in a position to educate the masses about the dangers of performance-enhancing drug use, as well as the positive attributes of the natural alternatives.

With the ideal of fair competition in mind, the INBF will sanction bodybuilding competitions throughout the United States, affording men and women the opportunity to compete against themselves and others in a quest for the achievement of their peak natural condition. With the prevalence of steroids, hormones and other performance-enhancing drugs still evident in schools, gyms and athletic competitions today, the INBF will offer strictly drug-tested alternatives to discourage drug use and abuse. The INBF is growing rapidly, as promoters and competitors across the United States and around the world are coming aboard and natural bodybuilding is at an all-time high in terms of popularity.
